Temperature

Article (1)
  • Energy-scavenging power sensors
It can be inconvenient to replace batteries in electronic devices that need to work for a long period of time, either in biomedical monitoring systems worn by a patient or in monitors for machinery or industrial installations in remote or inaccessible situations.

  • EPCOS ceramic PTC thermistor sample kits
TDK-EPC has three sample kits of ceramic PTC thermistors from EPCOS available.
  • Turck TTM temperature transmitter series
A range of temperature transmitters - the TTM series - features an analog output that eliminates the need for specialised RTD PLC input cards. The stainless steel connections make them particularly suitable for the food and beverage industries.
  • Current sensor
Yageo Corporation has released its PF1206 ultra-low resistance current sensor designed for mini portable device applications.
  • Temperature monitors
Maxim has introduced the MAX6622/MAX6636 ±1°C accurate, 5-/7-channel temperature sensors.
  • Temperature nodes
Banner Engineering has released analog thermocouple and RTD instrumentation nodes for the SureCross wireless network.
  • Flat chip sensors
Vishay has released platinum SMD flat chip temperature sensors that offer thin film technology in three standard chip sizes — 0603, 0805 and 1206.
  • Sensors for washdowns
Turck’s range of uprox+ Factor 1 sensors now include IP69 K rated washdown versions with temperature ratings from -40 to 100°C.
  • Temperature control system
Camille Bauer's temperature control system can adapt to a variety of individual requirements.
News (1)
  • Self-validating thermocouple
Scientists at Britain's National Physical Laboratory have developed a self-validating thermocouple technology which incorporates metal-carbon eutectic alloy fixed points. This means that the thermocouple can self-validate, or check that it is measuring the temperature correctly.
Q&A Interview (1)
