connectBlue’s Bluetooth IO Module OBI411 supports serial port profile for transparent serial data transmissions and implements wireless I/O functionality with up to 16 digital I/O signals and four analog A/D converters with latency at only 5-8 ms.
The device supports Android-based phones and Apple iPhones via an external Apple authentication chip. This feature enables industry users the control/read of I/O signals from an Apple iPhone/iPod touch/iPad through Bluetooth channels.
To speed up development, the I/O software can also be downloaded as firmware for the Bluetooth module OBS414, which has the Apple authentication chip built in.
Additional features include support for embedded Bluetooth stack and multipoint/multidrop functionality. Available with internal or external antenna, the module is Bluetooth Qualified, radio approved according to R&TTE, FCC and IC as well as compliant with EMC, safety and medical standards.
