IEI IGPS-7084GP ethernet switch

IEI has released the IGPS-7084GP fully managed gigabit redundant ring PoE ethernet switch with 8 x 10/100/1000Base-T(X) ports, PoE (PSE) function and 4 x 1000Base-X SFP ports.

With support of ethernet redundancy protocol, the O-Ring (recovery time <20 ms over 250 units of connection) and MSTP/RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1s/w/D) can protect applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions via its fast recovery.

Part of ORing’s thunder switch series, the device provides IP-based bandwidth management which can limit the maximum bandwidth for each IP device. The user can configure the IP camera and NVR to allow more bandwidth, while placing a limit on the bandwidth of other devices.

The series also supports application-based QoS which can be used to prioritise data streaming according to TCP/UDP port number.

The switch also offers DOS/DDOS auto prevention. If there is a surge detected in a particular IP flow, the switch will block the source IP address for a specified time to prevent a privacy or security breach.

The device also supports power over ethernet transmitting up to 30 W and data to remote devices over standard twisted-pair cable within an ethernet network.
