ORing’s RGS-7244GP full gigabit managed switch for harsh industrial environments and applications with long transmission distance requirements, such as a thermal power plant, has been released.
The switch is an industrial 28-port rack-mount managed gigabit device with 24 10/100/1000Base-T(X) and four 1000Base-X SFP ports. The fast redundant O-ring recovery time (<20 ms over 250 units), MSTP/RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1s/w/D) ethernet redundancy and multiple warning notifications sent to the operator ensure applications are protected from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions.
The RGS-7244GP is designed to be 19″ rack mountable and features redundant input power 100~240 VAC with a typical power consumption of 30 W. The switch also features support for Jumbo frame up to 9 KB, IGMP snooping support for filtering multicast traffic and user authentication for security.
