The Sierra Wireless AirLink Fastrack Xtend 3G/HSPA programmable gateway, available from M2M Connectivity, provides an extendable platform for the creation of a range of M2M solutions.
It features an expansion card interface enabling the user to add additional I/O and features, including ethernet and GPS.
The gateway has native USB and RS232 interfaces, two GPIOs, low power mode, an optional battery and RX diversity support. It is powered with an external supply or via USB if the optional battery is used.
It integrates an ARM9 32-bit CPU and can be programmed via AT commands or embedded with an Open AT C/C++/ Lua application to customise it into the user's own stand-alone application.

- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity on 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz
- Tri-band 3G/HSPA connectivity on 850, 1900 and 2100 MHz
