Interworld has released iKey’s rugged AK-39 keyboard, designed to be worn on the arm and providing compact data input that does not restrict arm movements.
Constructed from high-impact ABS plastic and industrial silicon rubber, the board is designed to meet MIL-461 standards and is intended for use in very harsh electromagnetic interference environments.
The keys have a life expectancy of 10 million cycles, require an actuation force of about 230 g and provide tactile feedback with a mechanical snap.
The small footprint features essential components for military and public safety applications, including an integrated force sensing resistor pointing device with left- and right-click functionality and adjustable green LED backlighting that is also available in a night vision-compatible configuration.
Designed with gloved users in mind, the snap-on faceplate eliminates accidental key strokes and can be removed to clean the pad.
