The Coleman TSV12 is a rugged, shock-resistant, industrial, integrated GPS receiver designed for heavy-duty applications using a Trimble Lassen iQ GPS module. The aluminum TSV12 enclosure meets ASE vehicle shock and vibration standards and is packaged in a tough aluminum enclosure.

The module provides the end user with a plug-and-play GPS which can be used for vehicle location and security applications in trucking, rail, agriculture, construction and general vehicles.

It has two user-configurable serial input/output ports using DB9 connectors and three protocols: standard NMEA strings, TAIP messages and the TSIP protocol. It accepts 9–32 V power. Omnistar can be used for DGPS accuracy if required.

To integrate, just bolt the unit in place, mount and connect an antenna and power to create a location system or connect a radio modem or wireless connection and you have a vehicle tracking solution.

The unit is supplied with a twisted lead power cable for quick integration and installation.

The TSV12 uses 12-channel receiver technology to allow rapid start-up, low power consumption and extended operating temperature range of 40°C to +85°C.

The TSV12 and its predecessor the Trimble SVee Eight is used in Australia in rail, trucking and agriculture.

Step Global supplies a full range of GPS antennas to suit the TSV12.
