Interworld Electronics has released the AEC-6905 Intel Celeron M 600 MHz/1.5 GHz-based embedded computer. The device is the latest addition to the Boxer S series of standalone embedded PCs featuring: fanless operation, compact size, robust construction, low power requirements, high vibration/shock protection, wide operating temperature range and certified embedded OS support.
The device uses the Celeron M processor to provide a mobile or embedded platform. Equipped with up to 1 GB of DDR system memory, 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ45 ethernet, three RS232, one RS232/422/485 and four USB 2.0 ports for communication, the AEC-6905 is a suitable control hub for embedded systems.
System expansion is also possible via the internal PCI slot or dual stack PC/104+ bus. A 2.5" hard drive or a CompactFlash drive can be used for operating system and program storage.
The computer has a heat conduction mechanism designed to dissipate processor heat. Its thermal and anti-vibration specifications (up to 60°C operation and 5G RMS vibration for the Celeron M 600 MHz processor with CompactFlash storage) allows the device to run critical applications in rugged environments.
